Our world needs you now more than ever.

As you’ve likely heard, the Paris climate agreement is gone here in the U.S. Gone with it is the promise of long-term climate progress and justice.

Just like a bully on the playground, Trump managed to spit in the eye of every child here in America. In one mean fell swoop, he told our kids their futures don’t matter, that the profits of the fossil fuel industry are more important.

My response to the so-called President and his cabal of fossil fuel cronies? You have no clue who you’re messing with.

For years, WildEarth Guardians has successfully confronted the fossil fuel industry in the American West, working to keep coal and oil and gas in the ground and pave the way for clean energy and a safe climate.

Now, we’re kicking this campaign into overdrive. While Trump's actions take us out of the international climate movement, our resolve and ability to put the fossil fuel industry out of business is stronger than ever. In fact, we're ramping up our efforts to challenge every climate catastrophe this administration proposes across the West.

Right now, Trump’s Interior Department wants to let the coal industry strip mine more than 30 million tons of publicly owned coal in Wyoming. If approved, the mining stands to unleash more than 50 million metric tons of carbon pollution, equal to the amount released annually by 10.5 million cars.

We need your support. Speak out and let’s show the world that while our President may undermine international climate protections, Americans will continue to push for climate safety and keep fossil fuels in the ground. If Washington won't do it, we will.
