Join us in the Courtroom as we Defend Climate, Culture, and Communities
Dear
Guardian,
The Greater Chaco region of northwestern New Mexico is under
siege from fracking, but next week, we’re planning to turn the tide.
On Monday July 13, we’ll be in federal court making our
stand for this sacred region. I’m attending
the hearing and if you can, I’d love it if you’d join me.
Our hope? Convince a
federal judge to order a halt to illegal drilling and fracking in Greater
Chaco. Given what’s at stake—the health of Navajo communities, clean air and
our climate, and the region's cultural integrity—it just makes sense.
But the oil and gas industry is spending millions of dollars
to defeat us. And sadly, they have the
backing of U.S. Department of the Interior. For them, the only thing that
matters is money.
This is our chance for justice. Together with our native allies,
we’ll make the case that money is no excuse to break the law. With you at our
back, I know we’ll have a fighting chance.

Greater Chaco. RSVP by Friday so we can reserve adequate seats for lunch—seating is limited to twelve.

deftly defending Greater Chaco. And if

P.S. If you can’t
attend next week’s hearing, consider making a donation to help us defend
Greater Chaco from fracking. Generous donors have offered to match donations dollar
