Dear Guardian,
What we expect will be the last public comment period on the
government’s proposal to strip the gray wolf of Endangered Species Act
protections closes next Wednesday, March 27th.
The wolves need your voice to join the chorus, including the expert
scientific peer reviewers, howling for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to
withdraw the fatally flawed rule. We
know the Service failed to follow the best science, now we need Interior
Secretary Jewell and Service Director Dan Ashe to keep their promise to follow
the science and rescind the rule.
Watch our new short film, share it with your friends, and
take action today.
The Endangered Species Act requires that listing and
delisting decisions be made solely on the basis of the best available science.
The Service failed to do so, instead bowing to political pressure to strip
protections for wolves.
Scientific integrity is essential to the survival and
recovery of imperiled species: tell Secretary Jewell and Director Ashe to
follow the science, keep their word and rescind the proposal to strip wolves of
protections.
If you’ve already taken action, thank you! Please share this alert with your friends,
colleagues and family. Together, we can
ensure that wolves have a chance to thrive.
