Help Us Plant Trees
and Restore Rivers

Dear Guardian,

WildEarth Guardians invites you to join us for our tree planting events on the Valles Caldera National Preserve and the Santa Fe National Forest in the Jemez Mountains.

Planting native riparian vegetation will improve water quality and wildlife habitat for keystone wildlife like beaver, which in turn can benefit native fish and wildlife.

Our Stream Team planting days will be on Saturday, April 11, along the Rio de las Vacas and Tuesday, June 2, along Jaramillo Creek. This is a great opportunity to give back to the environment and have fun. Get your hands dirty and reconnect to our wild rivers. We'll provide snacks and tools.

If you can’t make it make on either of these dates, you can still join us any weekday in April or May to assist our restoration staff in these efforts, select your day and email us to sign up.

Join us on Saturday, April 11, or Tuesday, June 2, from 10am to 2pm. Contact Claire Nickel with questions or further details for this event. If you plan on attending the June 2 event in the Valles Caldera National Preserve, you must sign up by May 15 per Valle Caldera Preserve’s request.

PS Guardians will be sponsoring a day to remove old livestock fences in the Valles Caldera National Preserve on Sunday, May 3. The goal is to make the Valle Grande, the caldera visible from the road, become 99% fence-free by the end of this summer. For more information, contact Bryan Bird. Please let us know by April 20 if you plan to attend this fence removal event.

PPS If you recently purchased a tree. here is your opportunity to plant it for that special person—we hope to see you there.
