The Truth Will Save Greater Chaco

Dear Guardian,

Exxon lied and now we’re all paying the price: rampant fracking throughout the American West. Squarely in industry’s crosshairs is the Greater Chaco region.

As you read this, the fracking industry is tearing apart the landscape of Greater Chaco, sacrificing Navajo communities and threatening cultural resources that are a part of a World Heritage site.

And spurred by a deceitful climate change cover up spearheaded by Exxon, this fracking is filling the air with so much carbon pollution that even NASA has sounded the alarm.

Let’s Get the Frack out of Greater Chaco and say no to Exxon’s lies. Please support our Greater Chaco Defense Fund.

I know Exxon can’t be trusted, but even I was shocked when I heard the company has been spending millions, for years now, to conceal the truth about climate change. It’s criminal, and these lies have emboldened the fracking industry to attack our most sacred lands.

But we’re standing up to these damn fracking lies. Right now, we’re in federal court defending Greater Chaco from an industry onslaught. We’re also working closely with Navajo communities to stop the drilling, some of which is occurring right next to schools, homes, and sacred places.

Rest assured, we can overcome. With your support, the truth will prevail.

Like the truth that fracking has no place on our public lands, that to save our climate we have to keep our oil and gas in the ground, and that industry greed has no place in our future.
