Dear
Guardian,
This Earth Day we’ve passed a frightening milestone: this Congress has already attacked the Endangered Species Act 100 times. That’s 100 attempts to strip our country’s most imperiled species of needed protections.
Join us in defending the Endangered Species Act! Tell your Congressional representatives and President Obama: extinction is not the legacy you expect them to leave.
For over 40 years, the Endangered Species Act has successfully protected our most imperiled wildlife by implementing safeguards based on science not politics for wolves, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and other native species. Yet some members of Congress, at the behest of destructive industries, are trying to undermine the law by defunding the agencies that implement the Act, and by attaching sneaky riders to unrelated legislation prematurely stripping species of protections or blocking future protection.
It is time to put a stop to these indefensible attacks.
Congress needs to hear from you and the large majority of Americans who support protecting imperiled species. Write your Senators and the White House today. Take two extra minutes and call them too. Join us in telling our elected leaders to defend the Endangered Species Act.
For the wild,
