The West is Rising: Call for Ending the Giveaway of Our Public Lands for Fracking  

Dear Guardian,

Millions of acres of our precious public lands have been auctioned off to the oil and gas industry for drilling and fracking, leaving our land a toxic mess while pumping ever more carbon into our overheated atmosphere.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want another acre of our western forests or deserts auctioned off. Now is the time to keep fossil fuels in the ground.

We’ve called on President Obama to put an end to new fossil fuel leasing on public lands—a step that would keep billions of tons of carbon pollution out of our atmosphere and give us a chance at actually stabilizing our climate.

This May, we’re following up that call and showing up on the ground in Colorado, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming to demand the Obama Administration “Keep it in the Ground!”

Join us! We’ll have the signs and banners waiting. You just need to show up!
