Dear Guardian,
Donald Trump’s nominee to run the Interior Department, Congressman
Ryan Zinke of Montana, is making a habit of defrauding the American people.
First Congressman Zinke defrauded the military by using public money
to pay for personal trips. Most recently he voted to allow our public lands to
be given away scot-free to the fossil fuel industry and other developers.
Help us
fight his nomination and everything that he represents by joining Guardians today with a gift of $50,
$100, $250, or more. Together we can see that the Interior
Department is run by someone we trust to uphold the law and protect our land
and wildlife.
Even though Zinke’s says he supports public lands, he just voted
to allow the House of Representatives to support public lands transfers
without considering the cost to the American people.
It’s a brazen act of accounting fraud against the American people
and could allow our public lands to be privatized. We must take a stand against
Zinke, Trump, and everything they both represent.
I’m asking for your support to help WildEarth Guardians:
Fight Zinke’s nomination and work with a large
coalition of groups that are willing to oppose Trump’s plan to have him lead
the Interior Department.
Expose Zinke’s pro-coal, pro-oil and gas, and
anti-endangered species record to the American people.
Fight for wolves and other endangered species
whose future would be in grave danger if Zinke becomes the Interior Secretary.
While his acts of fraud are bad enough, Zinke also wants to give
away more coal to the fossil fuel industry, supports legislation to strip
protections away for wolves, and wants to weaken opportunities for citizen
oversight through the courts.
He’d be a disaster for our public lands, endangered wildlife, and
our climate.
Please support WildEarth
Guardians’ efforts with a gift of $50, $100, $250, or whatever you can afford, and help us oppose his nomination and ensure that the rule of law is
followed.
In solidarity,
John Horning
