Dear Guardian,
President Trump is launching an all-out war against our
environment. Here in Colorado, the results will be devastating as protections for
our health, air and water, and communities are stripped away.
That’s why we need our Governor to take a stand. Speak out
today and tell Governor John Hickenlooper to defend Colorado against the Trump
Administration’s attacks on our health and environment.
Sadly, while Trump and his fossil fuel industry cronies are
tearing apart regulations to reduce carbon pollution and protect our climate,
Governor Hickenlooper is backing down. Most recently, it was announced he scrapped plans to reduce carbon
emissions from power plants in the state.
Instead of protecting Colorado’s climate progress,
Hickenlooper is letting Trump quash clean energy on behalf of coal and fracking
companies. This has to change.
Send a letter today and tell Colorado Governor John
Hickenlooper to lead on climate. Tell him that Coloradans have to come first,
not climate denial.
Now is not the time to run for cover. Here in Colorado,
we’ve made amazing progress in advancing a clean energy economy and taken steps
to reduce carbon pollution.
Yet with 60% of our electricity still coming from coal and
our state’s carbon emissions actually projected to increase over the next 20
years, we have to go further if we have any chance of safeguarding our climate.
Send a letter today and tell Governor Hickenlooper that he
needs to step up and lead. It’s so critical that he not let Trump’s climate
denial derail climate progress.
It’s more important than ever for Colorado to continue
leading on climate. With Trump’s assault on our health and environment, Governor
Hickenlooper is really one of our last lines of defense.
We know the Governor can do it. For the sake of
this state, our future, and our prosperity, let’s make sure he does it.
For the wild,

P.S. Read more about Governor
Hickenlooper’s move to scrap plans to reduce carbon pollution in Colorado.
P.P.S. Colorado’s clean energy economy is more
vibrant and prosperous than ever, it would be an utter failure of
leadership if the Governor were to allow the fossil fuel industry to tear it
down.
