Dear Guardian,
President Trump and his Interior Secretary, Ryan Zinke, are
turning our western public lands into fracking sacrifice zones.
The latest is a proposal for 3,500 fracking wells in the
Upper Green River Valley of western Wyoming, a key wildlife corridor and
gateway to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.
We can’t let these horrible plans go unopposed. Weigh in today and help us
resist the oil and gas industry’s attempts to trash the American West.
The Upper Green River Valley is breathtaking. Lying at the
foot of the Wind River Range, the region is a fount of clean water and air, abundant
wildlife, and infinite outdoor recreation opportunities.
Sadly, the oil and gas industry has despoiled much of this
area, punching thousands of wells into the ground. Wildlife have been decimated, clean water
fouled, and air pollution has soared to levels typical of big cities.
Now, industry wants to double the amount of wells in the
area. They’re effectively declaring total war on clean air and water, wildlife,
and our American public lands heritage.
We need you to speak out. Send a letter today and defend the Upper Green River
Valley.
While this is about protecting our public lands in the
American West, it’s also about pushing back on Trump’s anti-clean energy
agenda. Our climate and our future just can’t afford to be fracked.
We can’t win if we don’t resist.
Join us and thousands more as we rally to safeguard the Upper Green River
Valley and push back against the oil and gas industry. For the wild,

P.S. The “Normally Pressured Lance Project” as it’s called
would open the door for 3,500 new oil and gas wells in the fragile Upper Green
River Valley. You
can get more dirty details from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management’s website.
P.P.S. In June, studies
reported that fracking caused mule deer populations to decline by 40% in the
Upper Green River Valley. It’s unconscionable that we would allow the oil
and gas industry to cause even more destruction to the region’s deer herds.
