WildEarth Guardians in Final Five for Redwood Creek's Great Outdoors Project

Voting Contest Begins to Choose Winner

SANTA FE, N.M. - Over the last three months, environmental nonprofits, including WildEarth Guardians, were invited to submit proposals for consideration in this year’s Greater Outdoors Project to receive a $50,000 grant from Redwood Creek Wines and Planet Green. A panel of expert judges narrowed down the submissions to five worthy projects, and WildEarth Guardians is one of the finalists.

Coinciding with Santa Fe’s 400th anniversary, WildEarth Guardians’ Santa Fe River “Stream Team” project proposes to use the grant money to restore a three-mile historic stretch of waterway and build a trail reconnecting the community with its namesake river.

In order to carry out the project, WildEarth Guardians must gather the most votes through a public voting contest on RedwoodCreek.com. From April 1 through May 31, make sure you log on to RedwoodCreek.com and vote for WildEarth Guardians’ Stream Team project. You may also text message “earth” to 39668. Voting is limited to one online and one text vote per person/per day.
