With this petition, the groups hereby formally request that the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (“FWS”) take immediate steps to issue a rule listing the black-tailed prairie dog (Cynomys ludovicianus) as Endangered or Threatened throughout its historic range, and to designate Critical Habitat.
