As you know, the Southern Rocky Mountains do not abruptly end at the artificial Colorado State line. With this petition, the groups hereby formally request that the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (“FWS”) take immediate steps to update and amend the lynx’s listing status to include the mountains of north-central New Mexico.
