Letter to The Nature Conservancy requesting they discontinue poisoning prairie dogs - Sign the petition!

This letter from WildEarth Guardians and numerous signatories asks The Nature Conservancy, one of the largest and most influential environmental organizations in the country, to immediately stop it's practice of poisoning prairie dogs

On September 22, 2007 the Hays Daily News reported that The Nature Conservancy illegally gassed prairie dogs with Phostoxin® on its Smoky Valley Ranch in Kansas. This article shocked many, who learned for the first time that The Nature Conservancy lethally controls prairie dogs. The Nature Conservancy also supports the Forest Service’s plan to poison prairie dogs on Thunder Basin National Grassland. Although The Nature Conservancy recognizes the importance of prairie dogs as a keystone species and recognizes their dramatic population decline over the last century, the organization also acknowledges that it "culls" (i.e., poisons) prairie dogs.
