Donor Activists Marita and Peter Prandoni Have a Deep Reverence for Wild Places

The Prandoni family is so grateful for all that the Southwest's landscapes add to their lives that they feel they must give back

Peter says that a chunk of their discretionary spending, that might otherwise go toward entertainment, is well directed to the WildEarth Guardians. Marita and Noël agree. The Prandonis joined WildEarth Guardians in 2003 when Peter heard about our work on the radio. Since then, they have become not only generous contributors but good friends as well.

Both Peter and Marita grew up with a deep reverence for wild places. Peter found solace in the wilderness, and Marita’s family took weekly trips together to explore nature. They are happy to be able to pass down their appreciation for the wild to Noel, who has had fun planting trees at Stream Team every year since its inception.

In addition, they are so grateful for all that the Southwest’s landscapes add to their lives that they feel they must give back. Donating to and volunteering with WildEarth Guardians accomplishes that for the Prandonis because we are a regional group with a human face. "With giving comes trust," says Peter, "and I trust strongly that WildEarth Guardians will get the work done. FG is very resourceful and definitely makes the most of their budget."
