Description:

For over 30 years Telluride MOUNTAINFILM has been dedicated to educating and inspiring audiences about issues that matter, cultures worth exploring, environments worth preserving, and conservations worth sustaining.   MOUNTAINFILM on Tour Inspires us – it informs us; it challenges us; it makes us laugh;  it even makes us cry;  it makes as mad as hell, and above all, it shows us the power of film to change the world.

WildEarth Guardians resumes its host relationship with MOUNTAINFILM in what promises to be a bold, creative, entertaining and important evening of film.    Screening a mix of films that will cover vast territory, from mountain sports to endangered species consciousness, WildEarth Guardians’ program will appeal to people of all types who enjoy good film and thoughtful story.

WildEarth Guardians adds a suprising new element this year, which is a hometown short film competition.  WildEarth Guardians invites locals to submit a short film no more than 3 minutes in length that covers an issue for which WildEarth Guardians is advocating.  The winning film will be screened during the film festival at the Lensic.
